Affordable French classes
Hi

My English girlfriend is thinking about moving to Geneva in November or December. She is a physio in Northern England at the moment. She'd like to take French classes for 3-4 months. I had a look around the forum, but I'm still not sure what would be the best solution for her.

Migros sounds good but at around 1000 CHF for the intensive course per month, that might turn out to be a bit expensive. Then there's the Université Populaire de Genève, but they only seem to have courses with 2-4 hours per week.

Does anyone have any advice or how did you learn French when you arrived here? I could also help her since I'm a native French speaker, but it's different when you go to a class..

Thanks

Thomas

I saw this as a highly recommended school on another forum website. I have yet to check it out but it looked cheaper than 1000 CHF and I've heard good reviews on it. Good luck!

Hello Thomas,

You are saying looking for the best solution. Did you know that the quality and the price depend, among others, on number of participants in the class ?  Linguaviva language school ([email protected]) offers group classes for 4-6 participants assuring high quality with experienced teachers. And their prices for small groups are lower than in Migros.  Frank
