Hi Everybody,

Does anyone know of some amateur theatre society held in Geneva?. I'm willing to join a theatre group, but I cannot find anything.

Thanks!

How about Geneva English Drama Society (http://geds.ch/)? They're very active and they're all amateurs as far as I know. They're quite popular among the English speaking community here in Geneva, since they're the only English theatre group around. They usually have auditions for their upcoming plays; if you're lucky they may have something coming up soon...

Good luck!

They have regular playreadings next one is this Tuesday at 8pm in the hall underneath the Anglican church. There are plenty of committee members there with whom you can talk about auditioning either for playreading or one of the four productions they put on each year.  Yes they are all amateur and it apparently one of the best ones in Europe.

The audience for the playreadings is not restricted to English/Americans

They do not just pick English / American people for the parts provided the accent is not too strong.

If you are looking for a non English (eg French) theatre group, the people at GEDS would probably be able to point you in the right direction
