Any advice on starting a language tandem?

Hi All,

I am about to get myself a tandem partner for the first time. Before getting myself into any trouble :-) I would appreciate any advice on how make the whole experience mutually beneficial. If you have funny/scary stories, please feel free to share :-)

Hey Ozoda,

Did you manage to find a tandem partner through glocals? I'm looking for a French-speaking tandem partner at the moment.

Hi Bec,

I thought I was about to start a language tandem but my suppose-to-be-a-tandem-partner went all quiet on me :) So, for better or worse, it didn't happen in the end.
