Any ideas for a romantic afternoon out...

I'd like to surprise my partner with a special midweek afternoon out, doing something romantic!


Although I've lived here for ages I'm stuck for ideas beyond a picnic in a park. I have the possibility of a boat hire, but that's proving complicated because I need to wait for the right wind conditions!


Anyone got any great ideas or 'secret spots' that they wouldn't mind sharing (er, not too 'naughty' please!)


One condition is that I'm quite pregnant, so no strenuous hikes or trips in light aircraft ;-)

How about pretending to be tourists for the day and go on a sightseeing train ride? Ok not the most romantic thing but still a lot of fun :)

Hm, you can go to Annecy and have dinner on a boat (La Libellule) while it's cruising the lake.


Or I have heard of the Bains de Lavey.

You could go to Gruyeres for the day on the golden express train (connects from montreux).  It has a very beautiful castle and surrounding areas...then afterwards you can head over to Charmey (half an hour away) for a few hours in the spa there with views over the mountains! We did that a few weeks ago, had a great time! 


Going over from Nyon to Yvoire on the boat and having dinner in Yvoire is beautiful too :) Again, Annecy is a great suggestion, always enjoy it there!
