Any places where I can get my lap repaired?

Hi everyone... my lap is a Dell and a few weeks ago I spilled some water (a few drops) and now the keyboard and the mouse don't work at all. Weird, isn't it? When I turn it on, Windows doesn't actually go in.. and eventhough I press enter or whatever, the keys are dead... I need somebody who can look at it and tell me if there's any possibility of repairing it before I buy another one...

There is a chance that you damaged your motherboard by spilling water on your laptop (short curcuit). If that is the case, there is little you can do, but buy a new laptop (replacing the motherboard with no remaining warranty will likely be more expensive).

The fact that the computer does not even turn (which is the case if I understood you correctly) on hints to that. What one can try in such a case is disconnect the cables of the keyboard module (which likely includes the touchpad) and hope that the damage lies there (they are replaceable) and not on the motherboard. You can then probably use the laptop without the keyboard and touchpad by connecting a usb keyboard and mouse to it, until the replacement module arrives.

You can hand it over to a company specialized on such matters, but the truth is that for performing this simple test, they would probably charge you a lot nevertheless. If you want I can take a look at it. Just send me a msg.
