Any tips or advise about moving out?

Hello there,

I will be moving out from my appartment in about 6 months. I would appreciate if you can share with me what should be done in advance so to avoid any problems with regie. So far I know that the appartment should be cleaned and repaired if needed. What else?

I understand that I have to inform the regie in advance? What is the notice period: 2 or 3 months?

Hey Sab,

As you said, there's just 2 main things to do:

1. Inform the Regie asap.
Most contracts call for 3 months notice, but this can change depending on how long you're in the place and what your contract says. Play it safe: just let them know asap, by registered letter.

2. Clean the place well and fix "big" things.
The Regie will come to do a "moving out inspection" at some point, and if there's dirt or damages beyond what they consider normal wear and tear, they'll try to make you pay for it. So have the place clear and the big things fixed.

Thanks Nir,

I will check the contract once again for  the notice time. But you are right that sooner is better to prevent them.
