3 of us managed to pick it up there last night.
I'd avoid the food at all costs.

Very sorry to hear of your misfortune.
Did you return to the restaurant to tell them?

T ried to ring them but no answer. Will try again this week.
Being here over the last year I must have had food poisoning about 5 or six times now. Saddly it seems a very common occurance in both France and Switzerland and is most likely due to a lack of food hygene. It's amazing how many times you see people visit the toilet and NOT wash thier hands afterwards!
You'll notice in the supermarkets they still sell things which are already out of date. I was in Auchan last week and the shelves were stocked with chicken breast which were already 6 days out of date! so beware.

I don't agree with Tim M... 7 years in Geneva and no poisoned yet...
and concerning the toilet issue... do you really count the people going to toilets and survey them?... that's so... auch!

i been in Geneva since 1995 and was very sick once from a tuna fish sandwich, I should have not eaten it, when it smelled like dirty Vinegar.
From my experiences is very differnt to tims, i think the restaurants are top hygene. The food is more fresh and better naturla tasting.
i eat most anything and been everywhere, like Asia, Africa, Middle east, Americas, and all over europe and still Swiss quality is the top and you see it in the price. Maybe since im everywhere , my stomach is less sensetive?

oh, i will just say another comment, i really avoid the Fete du Geneva because the food is rubbish and costs alot. better to go to a restaurant just 2 blocks away and get better food and lesss of a line to wait for rubbish food.

Hi, for the first time during the festival of geneva, I ate at the Jardin D'Anglais on Friday 10th August evening at the Indian food stall. Cannot remember the name of the place but I was voilently ill all weekend with all the classic symptoms of food poisoning. Maybe I was unlucky as my two friends had ordered a similar dish but I added extra sauce from the squeezy bottles they had on the stand, so this could have been the culprit? The food was just about luke warm and not cheap. Never again will I trust such places again and normally I have a stomach of iron !!

In my opinion, the food served during the Fêtes de Genève is quite good (depends on what you buy, of course -- junk food is always junk). Also, its hygiene is thoroughly checked with satisfying results.
