It will depend where you are living.  In Geneva it is ProJuventute, in the Canton de Vaud it is something else.  You might also try the Geneva Welcome Centre website - some of their information on childcare options is dated in terms of the procedure to follow, but I think all the phone numbers/websites are fairly accurate  Good luck!

Do you want a live-out or live-in nanny? I'm an au pair and most of my friends went through www.greataupair.com. It's free! You can also use www.facebook.com; almost every au pair I know is on that website. If you'd rather, I also have the email of a woman who runs an au pair club in Nyon (15 minutes from Geneva) and helps girls (or guys!) find placements. A lot of times, sadly, people arrive here and find their host families are less than ideal (to put it nicely). Anyhow, if you send me a message I can give you the woman's email address who can help connect you with a nanny.



Also, my host mum is quitting her job in May or June. If you're looking for help then, let me know!

A great site that I have used in the past to find nanny positions is www.greataupair.com

The fee to receive nanny/au pair contact information is rather reasonable when you consider agency fees. You can find out a substantial amount of information on the nanny/au pair and can also request they complete the online interview if they have not done so yet to give you further information. It's a comprehensive site which is rather straightforward and very informative and helpful =)

I tried just an aupair switz search when i was looking for a family and the internet came up with plenty...eventually i used aupair-world.com to post an advert and got so much response..

Thank you ALL GLOCALS for all these information. I am again full of hope. In case anybody knows a nanny who knows a nanny who... I am looking for a nanny to get the kids out of school at 12:00 in Carouge, come back home in Petit Lancy and take care of them until 5:30 pm/6:00 pm. More or less. I don't have enough room to house an aupair so it has to be a live-out nanny.

Thanks for the offer but it looks too much of a burden to hire an aupair half over France and half over Switzerland. Also, I need someone more than 25 hours a week which is almost a fulltime aupair. But thanks again for the interest.
