 A couple of friends and I are creating the Geneva Whist Club. The idea is to get people together in pubs in or around Geneva and play cards, every fortnight or so. It's more of a mailing list than a real "club", if you are interested please write to [email protected]

 Whist is a game with many variants, the kind we play is in groups of 3 or 4 people, lasts an hour or 2 a game and a different number of cards is dealt at each hand. But we can vary the rules or have different tables trying different rules if people want to. Beginners are welcome, all you have to do is to want to play cards.

 If you write at the address above we will include you in the mails notifying of a Whist evening, just let us know if you want to be there so we have an idea of attendance. There is no membership, no commitment and we don't play for money. At the moment we want to see how many people out there are interested to then be able to book a place.
