Just want to point out this (fabulous) occasion to see the Breitling Superconstellation plane flying over the quays.
Should be around 4 pm.
and later, some fireworks for the opening of the Geneva Festival, around 10.30 pm

There's a problem with their wesite. It's a super constellation for the english version and a DC-3 for the french version.
it's not the same plane....
I asked for a clarification and will post later.

ta-da. Got the answer : it's the DC-3. The Superconstellation was agended, but it's waiting for a patch and can't fly.

that's a pitty! the super constellation is a very impressive plane to see come over the city! used to live in versoix so had the pleasure to see it comming over every now and than! But the DC 3 is very nice as well!! thanks for the info!!!
The sound of those engines just send the shivers down your spine.... so much better than Jet engines....

To each his own, I guess. But, having spent lots of time working on radial engines and much, much more on jets, I can assure you that the shivers I get from hearing a radial are from fright
But, - I agree, the DC-3 (AKA - Gooney Bird) is a pretty cool plane.
