Me and my wife moved to the city recently and we need to buy some stuff for our 4 months old daugther (bed, room decoration etc). Anyone knows of a relatively cheap store to buy these things (other than IKEA...)?

If you don't mind second-hand items, you can find children's clothes at two shops on the Rue de Carouge:
Geneva Red Cross clothing shop at 2, rue Leschot (on Rue de Carouge) 022 321 83 84, tram stop Plainpalais, trams 12, 13, 14
Caritas, one tram stop further away from town on the same trams, Pont d'Arve, on the left side of the street after the first side street.
