As i have not celebrated Christmas for a few years now and would like to get out of doing it this year also.
I have instead volunteered my time around Christmas to charities such as Crisis and Help the homeless in London.
I was wondering if there were any such charities that i could help out in Switzerland or are the more needy in France?

Great idea! If you send me an e-mail I can give you the details of the Scout Movement that organizes meals for the homeless on Sundays behind Cornavin station. Can find out about other organizations in Geneva too. RobM on this site posts in the activities section for helpers to feed the needy once a month on Saturdays.
