Banquet/'salle communal' room for bday party in Geneva?

Hi everyone,



I would like to organize a surprise party for my husband's big milestone birthday in January. I've been trying to book one of 'salle communal/reunion' for it, but they are either not available or that I don't live in the commune to rent it. Do you know if the rule is that I have to live in the commune to be able to rent it?



Also, does anybody have a suggestion on where I can find a banquet room in Geneva (either community room or restaurant) for about 50 persons dinner where I can have catering set up?



I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
