Any ideas for where to experience Bastille Day near Geneva (but still sleep in my own bed tonight)?
I've heard watching fireworks from Nyon...
Any other suggestions?

If you cannot make it to Paris, you can watch the parade on french TV right now :)

Hi - just had the same idea/question.
Found out that Evian has a great firewirk on the lake at 22:30.

Don't know where your bed is, but I'll be going to Divonne:
(Note that many communes celebrate on the 13th, so that people can sleep out their hangovers on the day off.)
La commune vous propose cette année encore un florilège d'animations pour le 14 juillet.
15h-19h: Animations pour enfants, à l'Esplanade du Lac
Maquillage, tatouage paillette, châteaux gonflables...
21h: Allumez vos flambeaux
Retraite aux flambeaux sur les rythmes de la samba
Rendez-vous devant l'Office de Tourisme
La soirée s'achèvera par le feu d'artifice tiré du lac et par un bal populaire sous la halle de l'Esplanade du Lac.
Toute la soirée: restauration et boissons sur les stands des associations divonnaises !
