Here's another point of view.....some of us women have NEVER used men as drinks buyers and have always insisted on buying our own -or buying for the others too!

Then again it makes us feel good if we offer to buy a drink, and its gracefully accepted, it doesnt mean anything except what you wish it to mean. For a man offering to buy a drink is a conversational opener, thats it. Why would that make you feel uncomfortable unless it makes you feel inferior ? You have a right to refuse of course, and mostly if we are refused we move on to find someone else to talk to.
WE DONT WANT ANYTHING, except maybe a little conversation and some attractive company.

It's funny that every time someone posts a thread on male/female interactions of any kind, it seems to provoke a Pavlov response!!!! In London, when I go out with friends to a bar or nightclub, and we just want a laugh we send a drink over to an attractive guy. He is often flattered and we end up having a laugh and a chat with no strings attached and no one is offended. We really need to lighten up and just enjoy our differences. Nothing wrong with flirting, it shows good social skills, self esteem and a sense of humour.
