I'm surprised you didn't mention the Club House. They have a good choice of well-prepared burgers. I'd prefer them over Calamar if it weren't for the cute waitress there. Roadrunner is great as well, should go there again sometime.

Rumor has it that Holy Cow from Lausanne is opening a shop in Plainpalais soon..

I tried Pickwick burgers at la Pre Fete and i was quite surprised. Nice ones. Blakq has been one of my favs in G but i got the feeling the quality is going down a bit in the last months...

Really? I had one just a couple of days ago and it was the same as ever. Very nice

I'm voting for Mr Pickwicks and Lady Godiva...

Apart from the Calamar, the burgers at the Club House get my vote! Try the California burger (bacon and avocado), it's fantastic!

Are there really no other places in Geneva that make good burgers than the very few mentioned here?

Has no one tried the double cheese and bacon burger at demi lune?! I would say it is a close competition between calamar and demi lune for me.

Road Runner on route de Chene is pretty popular among locals. All my swiss friends say the very best burgers are there. I didnt have chance to try yet) http://www.roadrunner-restaurant.ch/

If their burgers are as good as their website is bad, it must be worth checking out!!  ;-)

Hi you all.

I had bad experience with Calamr twice (once hair and the other a piece of metal) in my food. They just made it look like we were making it to get free food. That was 3 years ago and i haven't been there since. ( i didn't want to bring up the R subject). At this moment my favorite place for burger is apart from Demi Lune it is McSorley's pub at the sport center. It is a good place for ice hockey fans. Please check out www. mcsorleys-pub.ch. I still go there for good beer and burgers. :0)

Clunhouse, hands down

Thank you so much for all your suggestions... We will definitely have to try them. 

The "Best of... Burgers" post will always be a work in progress with new places opening and others still undiscovered, so please keep the suggestions coming and we will update the post as we try them.

We are working on some new "best of" posts and again we would love some suggestions if you are looking for something in particular.

Calamar has reopened and it really looks great. Not tried if the burgers are as good as they used to.

Forget it guys, take the train to Lausanne, Burger place is called Holy Cow next to MAD and Flon, best burgers north of the alps :) and south of Max in Sweden, ;)

and Holy Cow is supposedly coming to Geneva...

I tried it a couple of days ago. Honestly i hated it. Dry and tasteless. Should have known when i saw the price. 15francs with fries? In Geneva? Really?

The fries were very nice though

Well it must have gone downhill significantly, they used to be wonderful and anything but dry.  Cooked to perfection.  Its been a long time since i have been.  I guess i wont be going back.

Yeap. After so many people recommemded them i had to try them. Never again!

Very good burger
