Bike fitting service in Geneva needed

I'm looking for somewhere in Geneva that will do a bike fitting. I have a Giant road bike coming but need a professional to help me set up stem length, seat height, clipless pedals etc. so that I'm comfortable to ride it all day. I found one thread about bike fitting on here already, but it's from 2010 so probably outdated (http://www.glocals.com/forums/geneva/where-how-in-geneva/Bike-Fitting-89065.htm)

I wondered if anyone knew of any bike shops in Geneva that offer this services. The few places I've asked are too busy to offer fittings, even though I'm willing to pay...which is a shame. Any advice appreciated! Thanks

Already tried them - really nice guys but they have too many fittings so are only fitting the bikes that they sell, unfortunately for me. Thanks anyway!

Hi,

Last year someone offered some private service:

http://www.glocals.com/forums/geneva/where-how-in-geneva/117007.htm

I was happy with http://www.peclot13.ch/html/

Quick & cheap (very much reminds me of the Berlin bike shops)

Have you already ridden the bike all day or is it a new bike?

You can pretty much do it yourself.

I would suggest gettng proper road clipless pedals rather than using SPDs. Something like a Look pedal will be good. Make sure you have some "float" when clipped in.

Seat height. In general set it in the mid position on the seat post and adjust so that if you pedal with your heels your legs are not locked. If it is too high you will suffer ligament problems. You may want to make microadjustments later after riding.

Bar position/stem/levers are important. You want to be able to use the brakes on the hoods and drops. In the drop and hoods position wrist should be straight, more or less. If you have to bend your wrist a lot on the drops to get fingers to the brakes it will be very tiring. Elbows should not have to be locked on the tops or hoods to ride.
