Does anyone know of a clinic in the Geneva city center where I could do a simple blood test?

I think if you don't have a family doctor your options are ER of any hospital or one of the "Premanences". If you have a family doctor they can recommend something. I hope it helps.

It's "E" for "Emergency", not "Everything" -> Make an appointment at a GP doc instead.

Unilabs won't do any tests unless they have prescription from your family doctor or any other doctor. I once begged them with tears in my eyes and that worked but they emphasized that it's an exception. If it's life-death situation go to HUG or one of the Permaneces. Check HUG's website - they listed every one of them in Geneva.
Good luck!

Not exactly. You can go the the ER even if it's not a life threatening emergency. They will ask you if it's urgent and they will make you wait, but they will take you. Hell, those bastards will make you wait even if it's urgent!
Like I said, ER and the Permanences are your only options if you don't have a family doctor or an appointment.

Thanx everyone! Its not really urgent but I was thinking of a private clinic where you dont need a referal and you dont have to wait. I know exactly what I need tested so I dont need consultations or anything like that.

Another way to get Basic Blood test is to go to Centre de transfusion sanguine (http://dondusang.hug-ge.ch/aspects_pratiques.html) and give your blood. If it's the first time they will send a sample of your blood for analysis and you can get it printed after few months. Beside, if there is a problem they will contact you.
If you're not in the hurry and willing to give blood it's the cheapest and the best way to do. :)
