I am curious to know what the general experience has been with the buy club deals. I think the concept is great and have purchased a few vouchers with no complaints. I did however have a bad experience with my last purchase. It seemed i was not given the same service that a normal paying client would expect without any discount.


It would be nice to hear some other thoughts/opinions on this topic??

Very positive for me so far.


I used vouchers for restaurants (last one was restaurant of parc eaux vives), the hot air balloon ride, and the montreux palace hotel. top service and no glitches on any.


I also bought the yacht cruise last week but didn't use that yet.

I have missed two or three because I changed my mind after buying the coupon (my fault) - it seemed a good deal at the time and am still waiting for a refund after the shop involved (Columbus) closed down.


So although I look at them it has to be for something I was ging to buy anyway

So far, my buyclub experience is very positive. I used vouchers for haircut (good service at 19th ave), japanese food (thank you buyclub for getting Mikado), massage (Armony's great! went there thrice).

Only positive experiences here as well especially the hotel in Evian one (x2)

Better experiences as with groupon as the providers are usually well chosen by Nir and Oded:


Two half price skiing seasons in Verbier and Chamonix, great (only once probs within French holiday season. And Verbier did not open the slopes the last day of the season due to wind. But that's force mayeur)


Yesterday: Perfect Smile, great service


Two facials at Face to Face, great


Two times Thermes Park, Val d'Iliez, great

true. my friend got groupon for a chinese restaurant at Philosophe. We went yesterday, and the service was terrible.


(it took them an hour to serve one fried duck for ten guests. we were already very hungry. then they served the other ducks at 30 min intervals. by the time they served the rest of the food, we already lost our appetite. and we were full because of water/air)

Groupon in Geneva sucks!


Most places they feature are so down market that I would be scared to try them, even for free. And the one time I used Groupon I didn't get the product I ordered. Since then I sent them 8 emails, still no reply. Never again.

I have had very positive BuyClub experiences overall and I have bought many.  Out of the dozens I have bought, I have only had one bad experience (which will not be mentioned), which was addressed by the team.


I am very pleased with the program and am a fan!

i bought dozens of things with Buyclub (haircut, bowling, aquaparc, but mostly restaurants), and never ever had a problem. So, thumbs up till now.

All ok here - got snow tyres changed and 30 point check done on the car....great value and would take part again.

I went for the offer from Raj Mirpuri to have a tailor made suit done for my wedding in March this year. I can't complain at all about the quality of the end product (as well as the shirt and ties that he made) but the 'labour' of having it done was painful.


Had first fitting where all measurements were taken and was told not to worry it could be easily be done in five weeks. If it had've been a problem I would've gone somewhere else but was told it could be done, which to be fair it was.


I went back and was given a jacket which was four inches too tight and was told I must have put on weight (I know I like my food but seriously? Four inches in eight days?) and trousers that finished 1.5 inches over the top of my shoes. (If memory serves I was also told that he'd seen Arnold Schwarzeneggar speak in Geneva the day before and he swore blind he was 5' 6" (1m 67 cm!!)).


Followed with two more fittings, shirt and ties being sent to the wrong shop so had to go to Geneva twice two times the day before the wedding which was something I really didn't have the time to do.


Like I said I'd have no issue with the end result but having seen your comment, I would wonder if this would be the service you'd get if it wasn't buyclub. I would definitely get something from there again but only if I didn't have to have it within two months.
