Café en grain - Where can I buy some good ones?

All the options in the supermarkets I frequent (Carrefour, Intermarché, Migros) are pretty bland.  Does anyone know where you can buy some quality café en grain? Closer to Meyrin would be ideal.

Thanks!

This seems easy.

Coop sell Amici beans. Manor sell Illy, Napoli and Venizia

Personally I havent found anything better than Kimbo noir, available from most italian Delis, already ground.

I'm a big fan of Delta coffee (portuguese brand, very strong, very tasty). Coop usually sells it (also in grains) in their portuguese/foreign products section (NOT with the other coffee brands).

Try roasting green coffee beans yourself. It's not very difficult. I've only seen online shops carrying them (maybe even Starbucks).

Finally went there.  Told them wanted for Turkish coffee and she recommended two types - only tried one but happy.

Was also offered a coffee on the house while she got the grains

Thanks again

At Carasso in Carouge. You will find there a large choice. They sell the coffee you drink at Martel's. Personnally, I allways buy "Lavazza qualita Oro" at Coop, Denner, Manor, etc.

Happy Easter everybody. :-)

I've always had starbucks, and few others, but since a friend introduce me to Boréal's cafe shop at Rue du stand 60, and take away: Rue du mont-blanc 15. I've never tried another, only when am lazy to go there.

 Enjoy!

Hi,

They have a great choice of coffee AND tea at:

La Boutique Café et Thé
Rond-Point de Plainpalais 6
1205 Genève

022 320 58 16

Right by the tram stop, same area as Mac'donald's and starbuck

Hi,

On www.thecoffeeaddress.ch you can find excellent coffee roasted in Italy for the same price as store brands. The website is in French but at the bottom of the page you can click on google translate to get it in English.

Enjoy!

Too late response, but for anybody looking for great coffee: www.viverracoffee.ch

It's an roaster specializing on coffee from the Philippines- quite rare in Europe

Coffee is bought directly from coffee growers and farmers , and freshly roasted in a small artisanal in Geneva... Sounds like "home-grown" coffee to me

And for another home-grown coffee, you should try it here :

http://www.mokocoffee.ch/

It's a couple of passionate people doing it, she was oenologist as a first profession and for a few years developped her own coffee torrefaction. It's a wonderful coffee!! And they have the most tasty décafféiné I tried.
