Apologies if this message doesn't fall directly in the categories of the forum...but I figured glocals was a good place to try and find someone that could help with this!

Joon, a very bright and nice student of a course I was tutoring at UniGe, has fallen ill with leukemia, and her parents are looking for a compatible stem cell donor after chemiotherapy.

It's more likely that someone from her same ethnic group (Asian/Vietnamese) will be compatible - but in any case if you sign up as a donor you might be able to help someone else that matches your genetic profile. There's not many people who could match in the donor registry so far, so we need to find more to have a chance of helping her.
