Can a person buy buckwheat (sarrasin) in Geneva?

I am coming from Moscow, and do not want to have to change my diet, which uses buckwheat as a base (4-5 mornings per week with eggs). Are there any Russian food stores, and if so, are the prices reasonable?

Also, where are the best, least expensive, places to shop for groceries? I need good vegetables at the lowest price.

See at the store 'Sputnik'

Alimentation Fine Russe et Ukrainienne

71 rue de la Servette.

For Buckwheat, the best price I find is at COOP.  http://www.coopathome.ch/

lookup sarrasin at the top, you will see , 'Naturaplan Bio Buchweizen geschält 500g' at CHF 2.90 for half kilo

Im curious, what you eat so much buckwheat?

I think more expesive is at :

URBAN MARKET

rue du 31 Décembre 32

1207 Genève

Check out the review in glocals:

Thank you. I guess I am in for quite a sticker shock. It costs about a fourth (to one eighth) of that in Moscow. I may just bring some from Moscow since I will only be in Geneva for 2 months.

I eat Buckwheat because it is much healthier than what I used to eat for breakfast. The only reason it stopped being a major crop in the West is because of corporate interests --wheat and corn respond much better to fertilizer...

This is a very expensive city, Luke, so bring a supply of all your favourite goodies with you.

Enjoy and dont compare prices because salaires vs prices are comparable, good salaries but also higher prices, its all realative to your disposable income, and certainly its better here.

Oatmeal is no alternative to Buckwheat, nutritionally speaking.

And I am not sure what world you live in, for to me the concept of "disposable income" is a distant concept.

*is distant.

Moscow offers many opportunities to someone like me. We'll see about Geneva.
