Canadian thanksgiving

Hi, I know this is quite early, but I am already thinking about Thanksgiving which is coming up on the weekend of October 8. After not having "celerbrated" in 4 years since moving here, this year I really want to have a proper thanksgiving!

I am wondering who else out there is Canadian and wants to get together to prepare a meal for that weekend ? Also, if there is anyone out there that would have a large enough kitchen to host a few people and who would have a proper oven where we could roast a turkey?

This is a call-out! If we get a lot of people together this could be really fun!

Canadian Thanksgiving.... Do you give thanks for not being from the US?  What is usually on the menu?

haha, smartypants! just dont want to have to wait til the end of November to celebrate. also, I think there is lack of "awareness" of this important canadian tradition, if only it means that we get to eat turkey and stuffing, various veg dishes and pumpkin pie sooner than later.

interested? how big is your oven? (no innuendo intended)
