Canucks vs Bruins - Game 7

Is anybody going to watch the match on Wednesday really late late late ?

I don't own a TV, but I do have a case of beer ! (at tht hour of the morning, more likely to need coffee).

Will be rooting for the Canucks !

Hey Cancuks fan!

So, sadly we have all been hiding in our repective dwellings waching over low quality streams and with headphones. Well, at least I have. I don't know about the rest though i know that some have stayed up to watch. I think it's a great idea to get all the hockey fans together to watch the game. At least we can be sure that someone will be happy by the end of it. ;-)

So, paging hockey fans out there? Is there anyone who has a good US sports TV connection who could host game night on Wednesday?? Ouf, that's kinda a lot to ask isn't it? I would offer, but my viewing location is unconfortable and requires headphones (cause my roommates are not hockey fans!)

Let's see what happens... great initiative anyways. I had pretty much given up thinking there'd be a way to watch in good company.

Dave.

Ditto with David about my way of watching. Unfortunatly I can't offer up my space, as it would be on a low quality stream as well.

If anybody is able to host, I'd be willing to provide snacks!

If nothing else it's always good to know there are other hockey fans out there cheering when Luongo gets his home ice groove back!

GO CANUCKS!!!!

Diehard Bruins fan here (born in Boston, its in the blood... and our dirty water). We've got a decent enough internet stream, but I'm not sure if my guy will be up for such a late night fest, being a Blackhawks fan.

If someone's place does open up, then I'd definitely be interested in pitching in a case of beer and watered down trash talk (since we are, after all, in the midst of diplomat central here in GVA!)

Thanks for the invitation & the inspiration, but without your helicopter (I heard it was in repairs) we just ain't gonna make it to Biel.  But we will all be rooting for the Nucks; meanwhile the Beantown folks will be farting, not smiling, tomorrow.  Sorry Ariel, unless of course you have a chopper ?

Guys I'd love to share your enthusiasm. And we Canucks fans have got Ariel and Zonker beat in numbers. But after watching them lose each time in Boston, AND with that number of goals against... I really don't dare start in with such confidence as you have. I'd say it's anyone's game and there's a good chance you'll be eatin' your words. That being said, don't get me wrong, though i gave up on them on Monday night after the first 4 goals in the 1st period... I SITLL BELIEVE!!!

At the very least I don't want to see Vancouver in a riot as it was when they lost.... how many years ago??

Oooo... and i really hope they do poke the bear!

17yrs ago we lost game 7 against Rangers.. i was wearing my Bure number 10 jersey when we lost :(

but in the Canucks defense...David...true we have lost by many goals against the Bruins in Boston.. that is no doubt.  in game 6 we did have the chance to tie pu the game as we missed so many damn open net goals!! and for some reason Lu does not play well in that stadium and we are 0-3 there. BUT in Vancouver...even after losing by many goals to the Bruins...we still hold a 3-0 record! it's the support of the fans in Vancouver that will take us to the cup! i thought maybe they would start Schneider tonight as he has been playing well when he subs in for Lu during the finals. BUT...Lu has a great record for him in Vancouver during the finals and he is still 3-0 at home! I am worried cause we did lose our fast zippy player Raymond to an injury...and we are missing some Dmen...but....with that being said...We WILL prevail!! no one should give up hope...there will be NO repeat of game 7 like 17yrs ago. tonight we will hold the cup above our heads and be proud that a Canadian team and the Vancouver Canucks... will be Stanley Cup Champions! (and with that being said...i am already going to the Rangers vs Kings and Ducks regular season games in Stockholm in October...and i already am planning to wear my Canucks jersey to the game with a sign on it..."oops.. i thought i was here to watch the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions play tonight" :)  Go Nucks Go!!! We have waited too long for this.. and we will win tonight! :) (ok.. i think i've vented enough :) ) hahaha

The riots are horrifying and embarrassing. It's bad enough that we lost, but now we have this as well. As the mayor stated:

"It is unfortunate that a small number of people intent on criminal activity have turned pockets of the downtown into areas involving destruction of property and confrontations with police."

Sad times for such a great city.

rub it in Ariel.. rub it in :( but we deserved to lose after playing like that last night. it was like....do the Nucks know it is game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals?? hello??!!??? for being one of the best PP and faceoff teams this season.. did we even win more than 1 faceoff????

and the riots in Vancouver.. i'm ashamed to be a Vancouverite (Canuck). :( that is so wrong!! puts a bad name to Vancouver. i apologize to the world and say that Vancouverites are not like that. it was a repeat of Game 7 in 1994. Sorry for the stupid rioting.

Bof... Vancouver deserved to lose. Very nice goal tending by Thomas. Not so nice by Luongo.

And way to go Vancouver to show just how losers can turn into real losers. It's sad cause you'd almost expect in a city as relaxed as Van for the honest fans to riot against the rioters... or at least hold 'em back or tell 'em off.

Oh well... maybe next year?

PS: kinda glad i'm NOT a Vancouverite right now

By the way, Caleb. Thanks for the invite! Though I imagine it would have been a bit uncomfortable for us Bruins fans afterwards... judging from how the Cancuks fans are treating Bruins fans atm.

hey Ariel,

anytime you wanna watch hockey... all are welcome at my place :) but you can be sure that I, as a Canuck, would not have riot on you, as a Bruins fan after the game :) maybe only a little push towards the edge of my balcony... :) hahaha just kidding. :) but the Bruins deserved to win cause they did play a better game. and Thomas was excellent in net!

I lived in Vancouver for about 6 months long ago and loved it. I guess hockey loss is about the only thing that can bring out the demons in Canada...

Then again, as they say...Beantown (Boston) is a keen townLaughing !
