Just wondering if anyone has a second hand car dealer they recommend? We went to one the other day and test drove a car then returned a few days later to find they'd put the price up, is this normal? Seemed strange as they are actually having a sale. It's our first car and we are a bit clueless. Thankful for any advice :)

Just remember these days that as the Euro has shrunk in value, so too should prices of used cars, just as new cars have. So negotiate because used car dealers are taking a huge profit on their list prices. Also, a lot of cars have snow tyres thrown in - that will save you Fr 1'000, then the vignette - almost every car has or had one - dealers strip them off and sell them back to you for an extra Fr 40, then make sure you get a guarantee for at least 2 if not 6 months caverring all repairs (except tires and brakes).
There are so many used cars for sale in Switzerland that your bargaining power is huge.
And if its a 2.0 litre diesel from VW, Audi, etc . . . make sure that the dealer guarantees in writing that he will take care of any costs, inconveniences, loss of use, etc.
