Cellphone Disposal

Hey Guys,

Over the past few years I have accumulated a few cellphones as I always wanted to have a backup... Now it's time to dispose of this old junk, but I would prefer to do so without destroying nature - where do I dispose of them properly?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Cheers, Andy

At Swisscom, at FNAC in Swiss Romande (some kind of bins provided for that purpose), or any concierge at a University of Geneva building.  Some of the funds will go to projects in developing countries sponsored by Terre des Hommes, a very reputable Swiss organization.

Deal proposal: since I do not have a backup cellphone anymore, if one of those cellphones is still operational I can pick up all of them and dispose of them as suggested :)

This way i get a backup phone for free, and you get rid of those mobiles :)

Hi,

MobileZone have a great offer for used phones u don't need anymore. Basically they "buy" the phone back from you and give u a voucher to buy stuff on their stores. From some reason it's not advertised on their site but I can see it on their hardcopy broshure... The french version says you can bring it to any store and they will buy it depending on the age of the model and on the handset phisical condition.

Good luck!

As per Ferney message, these cellphones are normally sent to Asia for disposal and data may be retrieved.
