We are rather desperately looking for playdates, childcare and/or mamans de jour for our 2 year old daughter. We are living in Grand Saconnex in Geneva. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Have you inquired at your local Mairie? Grand-Saconnex is a very active commune and organizes lots of activities.

Thanks Ritchie. We haven't been to the Mairie yet. We have been in touch with the Commune in terms of their creches, but have not spoken to the Mairie about other options. We will try that, thank you.

If you work in UN, your wife could contact the UN Women’s Guild. They should be able to give some advice. And have you visited the Geneva Welcome Centre? It’s near you.

My 2 year old used to go to the creche Scoubidou and was very happy there. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Gymboree is located in Grand Saconnex, plus check out ludoteque. My ison is18 months old, if you interested we may arrange play dates and let see how it goes. We are in Paquis.

Hi, I am also looking for a Maman de Jour for my daughter 2.5 years old. We live in Eaux Vives. Can you tell me more about what you do - how many other children do you look after? What ages? Do you speak French? thanks, Beth
