Want to do something different this Saturday ? The Autumn Fair at Grand-Saconnex’s Salle communale (20 route de Colovrex) offers, from 09h30 to 16h00, homemade cakes, jams, chutney, traditional Scottish goods, interesting objects, English books galore at rock-bottom prices, chalet-style giftware, toys, 2011 calendars, new English-text Christmas cards, some with traditional Biblical greetings. Prices start at 1 fr each ! For family fun there’s a treasure hunt, children’s games, Scottish dancing and Pipe Band, and for lunch, saavour our authentic home-made goulash, African dishes and – yes ! – haggis. Other all-day refreshments include smoked salmon, tea, coffee, soft drinks, wine & Irish coffee.
All proceeds in aid of projects supported by the Church of Scotland in Geneva whose Scottish and international community extends a hearty welcome to all.
PS: Our very popular Ceilidh (7 p.m.) is fully booked but check with someone at the entrance door of the Fair in case there’s been a cancellation.
