Missing not mixing... First comedy moment!

I love live comedy! I'm up for it. 

Hi, Lynn.  I am an amateur stand-up who just moved here from NYC.  I just saw your post and wonder if you've found anything.  I've run across the professional shows, but have not seen any comedy open mics or opportunities for comics to workout.  

From what I've seen, most of the action is in Lausanne, which means that Geneva could be pretty open.  Again, I've only been here a few weeks.

I am interested in whatever you find or maybe even starting a room.

What about contacting Guy from the International Commedy Club (formerly Dirty Laundry) about organizing an open mic before or after a show at the Uptown? He's allowed/brought in anateurs to do a 5 minute set before some shows, so why not open it up a bit? Overall, I really enjoy the Uptown nights and would also be interested in seeing more local amateurs giving it a try.

So pleased at last maybe some interest. How about Zonka and us getting together and maybe starting a regular get together. From there we could then arrange some open mics. For me personally been a while so really wanted to meet some others to work with and then Get my confidience back... Of course Clinton a brill idea for the Comedy club if you just want to go ot alone...
