Commuting from Geneva to Rolle?
Hi all

I've a friend who is thinking of living on the right side of the lake in Chene-bourg, Thonex/Puplinge areas and wants to know how long it would take to commute by train or car (preferably car!) to Rolle.  Has anyone experience of this?

Thanks

Mel

Probably the best plan is to take the motorway (get on the Motorway between Plan les Ouattes / Perly), would take you about 45 min. from Thonex to Rolle, with no traffic problems. I don't know how the situation is in the mornings in that direction. I know Nyon-Geneva, which is VERY busy in the morning.

btw, Chêne Bourg / Thonex are on the LEFT side of the lake ;)

From Thônex, that will be approximately 1 hour each way, if and when there's no traffic jams... Alternative to car: Tram + train. No time gained though (but life expectancy may be extended...)
