Comparing Silhouette (ICC and Meyrin) and Holmes

Hi everyone. Can anyone out there give me a quick review of the equipment at these SIlhouette clubs vs that at holmes place? I'm not looking for a review of the atmosphere, service, polices etc, just the equipment. Hoping to have my gym membership in a few days and I haven't been out to the silhouette clubs yet.

cheers

Hello,

Have a contract with Silhouette and mainly I go to the one at the ICC, have nothing bad to say..  friendly staff and equipement is good..  not sure if the coaches speak english do?  The other good thing is that you have Silhouette all over town so no excusse that you couldnt make it in time...

Good luck..

I had membership in both....and I like Silhouette more!!!

Holmes place is great in other cities.... Budapest has an awesome Holmes place, but for some odd reason holmes place here in Geneva is not that good!

not only the facility is not nearly as impressive and good as other holmes place in other cities, but the customer service is lacking.

When I first came to GVA I got a membership there because I had one back in the city where I lived before coming here and was expecting it was gonna be the same... I was dissapointed!!! when my membership was up I cancelled it but a simple cancelling was not enough, it took several phonecalls, several arguments with the staff and people over the phone, for them to grasp the message that I wanted to cancel my membership!!!

Silhouette it not as "nice" as holmes place but the staff is nicer, the equipment is just as good and they also have very fun activities.... plus is a bit cheaper! the only problem is that some instructors can't speak english.... but it's ok!

I like silhouette better!!!

Yes you pay upfront, but you can also take a 3 months or 6 months contract instead...

Silhouette Member: i have been to a few Silhouettes (not all) and i find the they differ greatly from one to another so i would suggest to go look at clubs where you are likely to go (close to work, home or mistress, etc..) and base your decision on those ones. there is a Silhouette close to my place but its garbage so i go just a little further (1km) to the next closest one (Silhouette, Alpes) which is pretty good as it has a good selection of weight machines, cardio machines & the classes/activities look pretty good, even though they are not my thing. + sometimes there are creeps in the steam room. overall, whilst i have been to much better in other parts of the world, i still dont mind it and the as it has almost all the machines i like to use at other gyms - the only reason i dont give it a stirling review is that there needs a couple more treadmills to reduce waiting, there dosent seem to be wifi & i personally like gyms with boxing facilities (speed/punching bags). hope that helps. Chris

Hi there,

Yeah, I would be interested. Is this offer still effective?
