hi all, I am looking at sending my little one into child care. What though is the difference between a creche and a jardin d'enfants?

I'd really like to get some assistance with registering my youngster for pre-school / nursery.. She'll be three in a few weeks.. I've read alot but I'm still a little unclear.. Also since i'm still not there yet, it makes it a little more difficult..
Out first couple of months will be in GVA.. Then hopefull, around April/May we'll move to somewhere around Nyon.. So I think i can't really do anything yet until we're permanently located etc..
Plus my French is rubbish .. I can read the info reasonably well and understand most of it but i'm not yet confident on the phone for example. So at the moment i'm sorta thinking - I'll wait until i'm there and sort it out.
Anything i can or should do now??
