Cycling club for total beginner?

Hi all,

I am interested in taking up cycling. All I have ever done until now is just pottering around cities / short rides out in the country on a bog standard bike.

I am relatively fit but have very little knowledge of bikes, and I don't own a single item of lycra!

So I guess my question is - where does someone like me start?! Are there any clubs for beginners who want to get out and about on their bikes with a view to building up?

Cheers,

Liz

Just click on the “Groups” button and you’ll find lots of info about cycling and cyclists.

Best, R.

There is a shop in les grottes called Bike Switzerland, they do twice weekly free social rides on thursday evenings and saturday mornings starting from the shop. I believe each has 2 levels being beginner and advanced. They have a facebook page for full info.
