Are there others on Glocals who would like to connect up via Twitter and learn about the potential of social networking with Twitter? I know of a few others in the Geneva area but it would be lovely to connect with others to organise a tweepup.

The simple answer is "yes". You can connect with people all over the world easily and quickly on a social level but also for professional purposes.

well... yeah. the impact of twitter is still extremely high in the right (already well-rounded) circles. but it has been becoming less and less useful -- as well as less and less fun -- as functionality has been withdrawn. that refers, most notably to 'track', but also to sms delivery.
A previous effort to do what you are doing (followed by the obligatory argument).

Thanks for sharing the previous discussion re. Twitter - I only got into it a few months ago but am finding it fascinating & also a great way to connect with people and network. Do you still tweet?

indeed, the entire blogosphere uses twitter as a the instantaneous surface layer.
and yes i do. although i don't have any particular axe to grind - i just regurgitate my life.
