Hi,


My name is Tara and I am an Australian now calling Geneva home.


Currently I am between jobs whilst I wait for all my paper work to sort itself out and therefore have some spare time.


I am desperately missing my family pets back home and would like an excuse to pull myself away from the computer google-ing animal resuces in Geneva, so I would like to offer my services as a dog walker/animal companion.


If you would like your dog walked during work hours, or just some company for your cat or dog whilst you are away, please don't hesitate to contact me via my inbox to discuss more. 


I will charge only a small fee (as living in Geneva without a job is rather difficult and I am sick of living on tuna and rice or baked beans on toast).

I live near Plain Palais... So it is pretty central/accessible to most places.

I am also Australian and miss my animals so much.. and am a huge animal lover..just incase you are interested I Volunteer at the SOS Chats Cat Shelter every once and while to get my fix and to help out. All glocals members are welcome just look up cindymiumiu she is really nice.


 I would also recommend putting up a advertisment on the worldradio.ch website under the animal section as there are always people looking for pet sitters or jobs as well. Hope this helps!

Hi Heidi,


Thank you so much for your reply! I have been looking into SOS and think I need to finally do something (my major concern is either a) adopting all the cats or b) leaving in tears). I desperately want a pet, but my apartment is too small and depending on what work I get I don't have the heart to risk leaving it alone most of the day... So my life is not yet conducive to an animal, sadly.

Yes I am in the same situation living in an apartment on the sixth floor that would not suit an animal and I could not personally leave it alone all day. Well I hope to volunteer at the shelter on the 5th or 6th November or the weekend after so if you are free let me know and we can meet up and I can happily show you the way...

If you ever want to meet up, I live in the same area and would enjoy going bird watching with you. :-) I just did that today, and I have a whole jar of seeds to feed the birds. What else do you like to do? Is there a particular activity you are particularly fond of?
