Easy day hike nearby, NOT Saleve?

We're looking for a very easy day hike (a stroll really, suitable for a 4 year old).  The Saleve would be great but we were just there, and so are looking to explore some other areas - like the Jura moutains perhaps?  We'll have a car so it doesn't need to be accessible via public transport.

Thanks for any ideas!

Try St. Cerque - otherwise look at www.noth.ch - tons of great hikes with maps.

For a 4-year old I think Le Mole is a bit too much. But waterfalls at Sixt Fer a Cheval might suit. See http://www.randos-montblanc.com/pages/description/sixt-fer.html . Also there are other hikes described on that page for various levels.

In the French Jura above Gex, there are a number of nice walks starting at the Col de la Faucille. In July-August you can use the telecabine and then walk along the top a little way with great views on both sides, but I prefer the walks in the woods on the opposite side of the road (you still get a view at the end). There's a signboard in the car park with a map of the routes.

Signal de Bougy is one option. The Domaine Imperial in Gland is another. The path near Bonmont through the golf course is yet another.

For St cerque there are two walks. One goes up a hill and along a road. The second option is walking towards Cuvaloup, a restaurant which people appreciate for the croute au fromage and the Tartes aux pommes.

I was a child around here so if I could remember the walks we did at that age I would suggest more of them.

Thanks, everyone, for the ideas.  We ended up going to Signal de Bougy which was wonderful.  Not so much of a hike, really, as a place to hang out and play, with mini-zoo, mini-golf, playgrounds, etc.  There were some of the yellow hiking signs, though, indicating trails from 30 minutes to 3 hours away.  Maybe next time we'll try some of those.
