Easy to medium level hiking with 2 year old infant: within an hour drive from Geneva

Hi,

I am looking at some suggestions for hikingwalking locations within an hour's drive from Geneva.

I plan to do this activity with my family (wife and 2 year old infant, probably using a hiking sling for infant).Would prefer an activity of duration 2-4 hours long.

Any suggestions are most welcome..

Rgds,

Deepak

i recommend the list below :

1. Drive all your way up to Saleve via Monnetier or Le Coin, Park your your near the big antenna you see from down here. from there you will have several easy routes for walking,

2. http://www.st-cergue.ch/ (Exit Nyon)

3. Signal de bougy (exit Rolle)

4. http://www.arboretum.ch/ (exit Aubonne)

Hi Deepak,

thanks for asking this question, I am interested in the same :).

If you post such a child-friendly hiking tour as an activity, I'm sure that several families will like to join (mine inclusive)!

There is a book that the AWC used to put out about hikes all around Geneva at all levels. Call them for it.

One of my favorites when my children were that age and on my back, was one that started in Sallanches.......near megeve and worked its way up to a mountain lake. Call Sallanches tourism. Lunch on top then a nice walk down.
