Efficient and experienced Physiotherapist / Ostheopath ?? Geneva or nieghboring France

Hi all,

I am looking for an experienced physio / ostheo in Geneva or in neighbouring France, even if a bit more pricey.

I have been to a center in Geneva, Avenue des Grottes and I don't like their operating mode (consultation is only 30mn no matter what, a lot of "student"-like physios, and they do everything to make you come back at least 2 times)

Suggestions are welcome !

..just to add not sure about the duration  liit of time of 30mins limit or such that would probably depend on the doctor's prescription I imagine.

It seems to be often a standard length of treatment

Having had quite a bit of physio in the past few years for varying reasons often 30 mins is ofte enough at one time so as not to over do it

A good physio will push you as far as they think they can during the consultation although you might not always always realise this at the time if they know what they are doing.

Often you may  feel the effects afterwards a hour or two or later anyway.

You always  have after all..as well..all the 'homework' to do afterwards in the following days until your next appointment

30 min. is a standard time for a physio consultation in Geneva. And if you are at a bigger center in Geneva it is very possible that you will be treated by a fresh graduate or an intern. I do not believe however that the employees over there would have any business to keep you coming back w/o reason:)

I am a student of physio myself. If you want, write me a pm with your issue and might recommend you a good specialist.

I second that. As a former physio myself, I did my studies with one of the owners and he is very good!

I can also confirm that 30 mins is the standard duration of a session and unlike osteos, physiotherapy is a process that can take a number of sessions, it's not "magic". As for "pricey", physio prices are set by the LaMal so it's the same anywhere you go.

If you do need an osteo though would highly recommend Adel Aoun (not the singer!) who is in Acacias. He's not the type of osteo who just cracks your neck and wam-bam-thank-you-mam; he works very gently and treats the root of the issue instead of just the symptom.

Hope this helps!

Re osteo,

I would recommend Yann Bastard in Grand-Saconnex (sorry, that's his last name in French) however, I believe he is very good. Depending on your issue, if he can sort it with just one session, he won't ask you to come back, then again, it depends on what needs to be treated.
