I had a cataract operation performed by a Geneva eye surgeon. He screwed up the operation. OK - so I go to another eye doctor to get him to do corrective surgery or whatever is necessary to correct the errors made by the first eye surgeon. To make a long story short, I have lost several months trying to get second eye surgeon to do something - he cancels appointments, etc. OK - I have figured out he's afraid he's going to be drawn into a malpractice suit and considers his first duty is to protect a colleague - not to treat me.

How can I find an eye surgeon in Geneva who is more interested in treating a patient than in protecting the interests of a colleague? There don't appear to be doctor review boards (as there are in the States), so no way to evaluate who is a good eye doctor or not. Thanks for any help!
