Finding an apartment in Geneva...

I was hoping someone could help me by posting some information on the best way to find apartments in Geneva. I'm looking for a 3-4.5 piece apartment somewhere in the city, preferably on the Old Town side of the river as it's closer to work. In particular;

1) Are there specific websites which are better than others?

2) Does anyone know someone moving in the next couple of months that is looking to sublet or have someone take over their lease?

3) Is there any other information which could come in really useful in getting a good apartment?

Thanks in advance for all your help, I've been looking now for a few months and keep finding dead ends...

Great, thank you both for the info... Still finding the process frustrating but starting to get used to the idea of having to run to a regie's office at any given time of the day to be the first there with an application.
