For Mums and Mums 2B... but not only

If you have moments when you feel physically or mentally tired, stressed, heavy, have back pain or swallowed legs the best way to release all those tensions is to get a therapeutic massage. :)

I’m an RCC-ASCA certified natural therapist specialized in:

·         Pre-natal massage in a lateral position safe for Mums 2B

·         Post-natal Lomi Lomi massage ideal for new Mums to accelerate a return to form.

Certain Swiss insurance plans reimburse natural therapy treatments. You can also ask your doctor for a medical prescription for therapeutic massage sessions during pregnancy.

If you are interested or have any questions, concerns, just drop me a line.

A. :)

Answers to a FAQ I got off-line:

Is it safe to get a massage treatment during pregnancy?

Yes, if done by a therapist experienced in treatment for pregnant women it's safe and highly beneficial specially during the 2nd and 3rd trimester. The need for massage and its benefits increase as the pregnancy progresses and puts more strain on muscles and nerves. Pregnant women who experience significant aches, pains or swelling or severe stress, may want to receive regular weekly or bi-weekly massages and get them prescribed by their doctor. While women leaving their pregnancy well, may receive massages bi-monthly or monthly to increse mum's and baby comfort improving functionality of internal body systems

However, during a 1st trimester and in case of pregnancy at risk the specific approval of the medical doctor is required.

Why a massage for Mums 2B is done in a lateral position?

A lateral position with a use of a special supporting cushion is most comfortable for a women and a baby. It also leaves good access to all massaged body zones.

Pregnant women should take care not to lie on their backs for more than a few minutes, since this can compress major blood vessels and lead to less oxygen for both the mother and baby. Although some massage therapists have tables that are especially designed to accommodate a pregnant woman's abdomen and allow her to lie on her stomach, certain schools and specialists (including the American Pregnancy Association) recommend that pregnant women lie on their side during massages. Lying face down for a longer period of time, even on a specially designed table may cause undesired pressure on a baby and too much blood runs down to abdomen.

Hi Anushka,

Do you do Gift Certificates?

My friend just become a dady. I thought it might be an original idea aside of a bottle to celebrate and toys for a kid ... (something for his wife I mean of course :hehe: )

What do you think?

Great Idea ! :w00t:

I do Gift Certificates - it's valid 6 months for both pre- and post-natal massage.

I'm sure your friend's wife will be pleased someone actually thought of her :D

(It also works for a therapeutic massage session for anyone else - so you can get one for your girlfriend as well even if not pregnant ;)

We can talk details on private.

Anna :)

A beer belly :w00t: doesn’t count for a pre-natal massage - lateral position :w00t:

But seriously... a therapeutic massage is good regrdless a gender to addresses lack of vital energy; stress, anxiety, sleep-related problems, muscular and joint pains, dysfunction of the immune and digestive systems. So the answer to your question

 is YES  :D

THANKS! :D

That Gift Certificate was a great idea. Fresh Mum was very happy and she will contact you for an appointment.

BTW. She asked me how long she should wait after giving birth before she can have a massage?... Obviously I had no id :w00t: but you must know that !

Hi Anna,

Thank you very much for the yesterday massage. It made me so relaxed and my "growing" body is feeling good. I slept much better and didn't feel my back.

:)

I hope it's OK with you to write it on a public forum. You can use it as a testimony. I'll get back to you on private to fix another appointment.

ML
