Hi,
Would like to know glocals suggestions on some interesting places within an hour drive from Geneva. Ideally, I would like to do indulge in some activity(mini hike, visit villages, do some photography etc.) with my my wife and 14 month son.
I have been to many of the touristy places.Would like to know some of the lesser known places from those who are local to Geneva region.

Just a few ideas that come to mind:
St Prex, pretty village on the lake near Morges, nice to walk around
Arboretum at Aubonne
St Cergue to get above the stratus cloud
Lavaux villages especially Cully
Caux above Montreux has fab views
Sixt /Fer à Cheval
Further away: Estavayer, Romont, Fribourg, Gruyères
Mont sur Rolle, Bougy-Villars
You^ve probably already seen Yvoire, Signal de Bougy, Annecy, Talloires, Nyon, Rolle, Vevey
Also pretty villages in the Genevan countryside which is often overlooked, eg Dardagny, Peissy

Annecy is a very nice town w awesome surroundings, walking next to the wine terraces in the St Saphorine area is awesome too and very good ops for photography...
