Frozen Yogurt . . . Mmmmm!

Do you like frozen yogurt? Do you want a real frozen yogurt shop in Geneva?

You can help make it a reality by taking this survey (5 minutes max):

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PFYGCCC

I know that there must be a lot of frozen yogurt fans out there. My fiancé is creating a business proposal for opening a Swiss-centered frozen yogurt shop in Geneva. (Yes, we know there is Yourgurteria, but this one would have multiple flavors, be more like the shops seen in the US, and use 100% Swiss milk and local products as much as possible.)

Thanks!!!

Just filled in your survey, but just make sure you have a great location and also Winter products, like

Waffles, Crepes, Vin Chaud, Hot Cocolate.

If you want a lunch crowd think about making Excellent take away soups and sandwiches. Even good Wraps, easy to make and popular.

Put together a tasty blend which uses an absolute minimum of sugar or any other sweetener and I'll crawl through broken glass to come try it.

Looks great, more of a fruit bowl with Gruyère double cream,

Add some Meringues, oh yummy.

Just note that there is already a yogurt company from London in Zurich and Bern. So you must either startup with the same quality or they will certainly open a shop in Geneva, with their franchise/talents/quality and outshine you. So make sure you provide top quality, excellent presentation, lovely store/store front.

Cup Cakes in the city (http://www.cupcakesandthecity.ch/) recently relocated, has cakes also for Birthday parties, really good company. family locally owned , not a franchise. Smile

One thing I miss is Ice cream floats.

Like Vanilla Ice Cream in Cola. It is like Vanila cola but the ice cream starts to freeze the cola on the ball and you eat this, its really nice. Americans also do this in Root Beer but Roob Beer will never ever take off in Switzerland because people think it tastes like medicin.

again, note their are alot of 'feel good foods' available. So make sure you to visit those above mentioned stores, too see their pricing and quality. Also will give you tons of ideas.

Good luck and keep me posted, as I like to try your offerings.

About Swiss prices, you get what you pay for, because any business owner in Switzerlnad has exceptional high cost. So if you want a feel good food that is not available, the cost will be swiss prices, or Im certain or the owner will fail. Because the market for this type of product is low and un-proven. So importing the equipment and tech needed will be a big investment to be imported. An example is Gelateria in Eaux Vivre does well during the 5 months of summer, but to cut cost they were hiring employees 'under the table or bad working conditions, so they tried to cut cost, but were caught and heavely fined and incured huge legal fees. Such opperations and food services incure:

* High capitalization costs (most likely no/low resale value)

* Swiss priced rent, need good location with decent foot traffic during summer months. anything off the main streets almost always fail.

* Swiss salary & social charge cost

* High product prices, if you import you will almost pay the same. Be aware there is alot of protection for Milk and dairy industry.

* Goverment taxes, fees, fire & safety & food & premise inspections

Thank you everyone for the input!

We're shutting down the survey tomorrow - so if you haven't filled it out yet, today's your last day. :)
