I'm looking to host a regular event in Geneva. It's non-profit but involves people putting on presentations to about thirty people for 2-3 hours every two months. Usually a few drinks are had afterwards (which might sweeten the deal for the host if its a bar). If the place already has a large screen or projector so much the better.
Keen to find a function room relatively close to Cornavin. Can anyone recommend a place near there?

Any idea about your budget? Several hotels in the area have conference rooms that would suit your purpose, but is that too expensive? I've personally had a conference at the Novotel at the Rue de Zurich; it was standard but probably not too expensive.
If that's not within your budget you may ask around for one of the cheaper hotels, or a school in the area. You may also have a look at the Salle communale du Mole.

In case you wish a separate meeting room you have WARWICK HOTEL accross Cornavin station and also Manotel HOTEL AUTEUIL at 33 rue de Lausanne or ROYAL HOTEL on 41 rue de Lausanne, still conveniently near Cornavin.

There's an art workshop at 10 minutes walking distance from railway station.
I don't know if they would be ready to propose their space for events.
