GP / Family Doctor in GVA, Champel area

Dear Glocals community,

I have yet to find / register a family doctor which is part of my health insurance package.

Can anyone share or recommend doctors within the Champel area? Preferably English speaking?

Many thanks for your help in advance!!

If place des Eaux-Vives is near enough, I can recommend my own (female) doctor who is very patient and takes time to listen.  Let me know if you’d like more info.

PS:

If I’m not mistaken there is also an English doctor on the staff of the Institut médical de Champel.  His name is Dr Ian Low.  You can find more details on the Institute’s website.

Hope this also helps, R.

Aren't all doctors the same regulated price?

Dr. Sayegh not bad either, and speaks English.

well I think all docs are expensive really. Good luck to get one who takes new patients as many will say they don't take new " clients"

I feel it would be more appropriate to say that many doctors are unable to accept new patients.

I would much prefer that a doctor is upfront enough to admit that he already has a full quota than one who takes on new “customers” even though his services are already stretched to the limit.

That said, I agree that it is not always easy to find a GP near your home but the group practices known as “clinics” can often fill the gap.
