Re: Gay/Gay-friendly lunchtime or after work runners around the UN

Thanks for the reply Pedro. Yours is one of the saddest replies I have had to this posting, particularly your assumption that gay people should only be visible in night clubs.
I do not wish to debate this matter but I believe your email requires a reply.
There are a number of international sporting events that have a gay focus, e.g. the International Gay Games, the International Gay Rugby Association and from my part of the world the Asia Pacific Out Games. I suggest that you google them to find out what gay and lesbian people invest their time and energy into them. You may also have seen the recent coverage of a rugby league player in the UK who recently came out as being gay.
Surely you're argument can be applied to any other communities or groups who are often considered minorities or disadvantaged. For instance, is it sad to have a running group for people with disabilities? Is it sad to have womens-specific running group or running events for women? By the way both of these types of events are advertised through glocals as well.
I am sorry if I assumed that Glocals is a place where people regardless of their gender, age, sexual orientation, or disability can actively and visibly participate in social networking and activities. Acutally, come to think of it, I think some of the words in the sentence above are included in international and country human rights frameworks.
