Dear All,
I live in Geneva but work from home for a UK based company. I trying to fathom if I need to pay swiss income tax, and if so how I would do so.
I don't speak French so stuggle to get help from the authorities here.
If anyone has experience or know's where to go that would be really appreciated.
I already have all the details of the UK tax side of things.
Thanks!
Adam

If you have a permit, you need to deal with the Swiss tax people...
If you don't, and you are paid out of the UK, then it is up to you to notify the Swiss. It is likely that, officially, you are supposed to have a permit in that scenario even if you work from home. But it is unlikely they will check, so you are probably responsible to notify them (i.e. up to you ... start asking questions, you probably have to start providing info ...).
You could try Enrico at www.synergix.ch - call him and ask, he speaks English fluently and should be able to give you a rough idea about your situation. May even be worthwhile paying for a brief consultantion, to get him to investigate for you. But like everything in Switzlerland, be sure to ask how much it will cost before agreeing to anyone doing anything for you!
