Geneva-Lome: Centre Kekeli

I arrived to Geneva on 01/08 after spending almost 4 years in Lomé, Togo.

My friends there collaborate with the centre Kekeli, which is an organization focused on recovering kids who are living in the streets in very extreme conditions.

They take care of them and put them back on track with very good results. It’s a very touching experience.

As I’m flying back shortly, 15/10, they’ve asked me if I could bring some things for the kids

They are asking for the following:

-          Radio (même cassée)

-          Jeux de societé

-          Fourniture scolaire (cahiers, stylos, crayons de couleurs, feutres)

-          Livres pour enfants

-          Corde a sauter

-          Ballons

-          Vetements d’été pour enfants

-          Jeux de cartes

-          Peluches

If you have any of these that you want to share with them will be really appreciated.

The objects can be second hand provided they are in reasonable good shape and clean!!

I’ll take all that can fit in 3 suitcases until 14/10.

This is the website of Centre Kekeli

And this is my phone number is +41 79 172 50 12 and email [email protected]

I'll be happy to listen from you!

Congratulations Juan Manuel for this project !

Please let me know how many children are going to school thanks to the Kekeli project.

I would like to contribute with school supplies.

I can also find clothes for small children.

Cheers!

Thank you Sary,

So happy to read your response!

Right now there are 8 girls in a permanent basis and 28 kids involved in the day to day activities. The number is variable on time, but let's work with the available info.

According to the last info the priorities are:
1. School supplies
2. Children books
3. School bags to carry books
4. Clothes (summer ones)
The remaining items are nice to have but not a must.

So your help is right what's needed!

Keep in touch,

Juan

Hi Juan,

I will be very happy to buy school supplies for the 8 girls.

Please let me know what is best. Notebooks, pens, pencils ?

If it is not too much trouble to get the info ... Can you try to find out their ages ??

Thanks!

Sary

Hola Juan,  It was great meeting with you and discussing about the good work of the KEKELI Center in Lomé.

Also, I could also see in their website comprehensive activity reports. Very glad to see that this is a serious Center that does a lot of good to their community.

Wish you all the best with your stay in Lomé.

Bon voyage !
