Hi everybody!
I'm an Italian (precicely Apulian, south of Italy) Physics PhD student and I'm going to be in Geneva (at CERN) for about a month from late January to late February. Even if it is a "working trip" I'd like to visit the city and to meet people and so, instead of staying the whole month in the CERN foyer, I have though it would have been far better to find a room in Geneva. Does any one have a spare room? Or any suggestion?

For accommodation, may I suggest that you check the offers under “Housing available” in the Classifieds, where you can also post your own ad., which will undoubtedly attract a more positive and focused response.

See in the HR , employement building at CERN, there are plenty of information about roos, appartments, cars, clubs, sporting and music interest, etc. They sould help you also.
