1* Fenomeno bar-lounge in rue des Pâquis, for Max the boss, the tapas, themusic and his awesome Fenomeno's cocktail 
2*L'Armoire in rue du Vieux Collège down town it's more classy, has a Parisian style...
3*Capoccacia in Conféderation Center near the Old Town, i love this bar, specially on Thursdays

1. Capoccacia (actually it's more for dates, except crazy Thu)
2. Vodkafe in OldTown, quite new venue
3. Brasserie des Halles de l'Ile (life is always there)

1) 7 Arts/Clubhouse/Mulligans/Cotton Pub - all for their "pub" atmosphere and sport.
2) Halles de I'lle... busy , trendy, etc
3) Quirinale , (Thursday party night)

1. La Galerie - cheapest drinks, some weird heads - totally alternative!
2. Le Phare - navigates between gay and gay-friendly - I just love that place for a drink before or after dinner or after a good movie.
3. Le Cabinet - far too small for the crowd on weekends, but quite often has good music (live or DJ) downstairs.
If I could add a 4th place it would be Maison des Habitants (Ilot 13), because it's relaxed, it's cheap and it's alternative.
Just to show that there's a whole lot of "different" places in this town.... :-)
